In the year 2500 Earth has grown inhospitable due to increasing radiation levels, poor air quality, and diminishing natural resources. Due to humanity's failed attempts at preserving the natural world, they are left with no choice but to evacuate the planet or die with it. As the human population dwindles, they devise a last-ditch effort to preserve the species: send legions of automatons to space to find a new, hospitable planet. This quest has been named Mission Salvation, and after nearly 50 years, has been unsuccessful. Now in the year 2549, all but one of these robots have been destroyed, either during the hazardous journey through space or by the lifeforms on the discovered planets. Now the future of the human race depends on the last remaining automaton as they travel to a new planet. Will they find a new home for mankind or will they be devoured by the dangerous creatures that live on the planet? The last of humanity can do nothing but wait to find out as Earth decays around them.
